For Ilana Friedman, the notion that almost every philanthropic endeavour begins with someone experiencing a pivotal life event, became real for her following a life-threatening crime incident in 2003. Instead of becoming defeated, she accepted the invitation life handed to her, and found her true calling forming a charitable organisation called Magical Moments, shortly thereafter and ultimately leading her into her Ontological Coaching role.
“In that moment, you can choose for it to be an ending, or a beginning. After asking the hard questions, I chose for this pivotal life event to become the beginning of a life of magic.
Her desire to become an Ontological Coach through The SOAR Institute, coupled with the eight years of voluntary service she’s offered the business, has further enabled her to provide a myriad and broad scope of workshops for children and corporate companies, with emphasis on human behaviour and personal transformation.
While Ilana studied, and held a lucrative career in Public Relations and Communications for 13 years, it was the formation of Magical Moments and her involvement in the establishment of The SOAR Institute that has seen her assist with transformation in various other organisations for the past 15 years.
As a specialist who engages children from the most impoverished and dangerous environments, and offers them a dream and hope where none exists, Ilana draws from her training in Filial Play Therapy and Leadership Development to conduct workshops not only for children, but with men and women in communities to discuss and understand their needs.
One of her favourite quotes are: “Be the Change you want to see in the world” – Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. She is a passionate believer in big dreams and the manifestation thereof and living life purposefully and consciously, with awareness.
Ilana is available during weekdays for coaching appointments.
