Ursula’s decision to become an Ontological Coach was motivated by her desire to understand how SOAR directors and founders, Gavin and Riaad, are so powerfully able to reach through all the stories, to the heart of the matter. Her purpose in coaching is to co-create a space where breakthroughs can be made by clients.
As a qualified Integrated Learning Therapy (ILT) practitioner, who focuses on neurodevelopment and the brain’s ability to learn, Ursula also came to understand the role “the way of the human being” played in her work.
Since 2015, she has been working with people of all ages, but primarily focus on school-going children, as this is often where neurodevelopmental delays show up.
Her main purpose as an Ontological Coach? Ursula believes that coaching is a gift, not only to the person being coached, but to the coach. “The learning and understanding that takes place is often a two-way thing. My purpose in coaching is to co-create a space where breakthroughs can be made, and to be witness to the process of ‘becoming’ that I believe we’re all really ultimately here for.” Through her training to become an Ontological Coach, she also really wanted to better understand, support and grow herself, so that she could better serve others.
She’s also worked in the IT industry for almost 20 years.
Ursula is available to assist with coaching sessions on weekday evenings, and weekends.
